The Institute for Social Transformation (IST) is a faith-driven institution founded in 1994 by Fr. Francesco Pierli, a Comboni missionary inspired by the legacy of Saint Daniel Comboni. Rooted in the belief of “saving Africa through Africa,” IST is committed to empowering African communities through education, social justice, and sustainable development.

IST works to transform society by equipping marginalized individuals and communities with the tools, knowledge, and values they need to lead change.
